Squeeze the shorts? Good luck! IMHO, a new string of carnage is about to begin. Too much new news which demonstrates that the fundamentals are still deteriorating. Asia flu is not yet gone and in fact continues to get worse. earnings across the board are dropping like a rock. CPQ will likely get hammered tomorrow. AMD specifically stated that part of their loss was attributable to customers reducing inventories. In other words, CPQ substantially reduced purchases of amd chips in the first quarter. Obviously, cpq sales will drop big time in first quarter. I wouldn't be surprised if cpq reports a healthy loss for first quarter. 1991 here we come!!

You shorts out there, like Satyr, get ready to start selling.

...oooooh... I wouldn't buck the trend! Doesn't matter how good the long term prospects are. Just speaking from personal experience.
