LAS VEGAS (Reuters) - As the latest television network to declare its intentions in the muddled industry march toward digital TV, NBC said it has chosen the high definition TV road.

NBC said it would initially offer the lower-resolution 480 digital signal, slowly moving up to 1080 interlaced signal, the highest resolution for HDTV, to its 13 owned stations and to its affiliates.

NBC made the announcement at the mammoth annual National Association of Broadcasters convention here.
