Janice, say no more about carrots!! The earliest carrot consumption is traced to the hill people of Afghanistan, who were sun-worshipers and believed that eating orange or yellow colored foods instilled a sense of RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!

I think we have plenty of that around here already!!!

However, Greeks and Romans prized carrots for somewhat earthier reasons. Sequestered in the Trojan Horse, Athenian foot soldiers subsisted exclusively on a diet of raw carrots, to bind their bowels.

On the other hand, invading Roman legions fed their captive females carrots (cooked into a broth) to unloose their stringent morals.
