In a Just in Time model, the supplier stream is where you will see the slowdown first. I bet this is not the last supplier stretchout.

"Although it's a disappointment, it doesn't change my opinion that order rates will be higher through the year," Brecken said. -Christopher Grimes;

yeah, right! Read it as "I save face first and change my opinion later" ;-)

thanks for the info Fred. Yet another confirmation one chip after another is falling in the pc market.

ps a friend helped me assemble a pc over the weekend. Took us 1 hour at most. Bought nice mini-tower case complete with power supply, board (ASUS), guy at the store plug in Intel chip and fan, tested board. Snapped in new ram board, faster graphics card, and we went home. At home, we transferred drive controller to new mother board, transferred sound card, close case cover, plugged in monitor and keyboard, fired up, and done!

Now, if pc isn't a commodity item nowadays, don't know what is.
