Hi Venkie,
More on Buy and Hold. (No I'm not related to Paul but beginning to understand.)
From IBD...Friday (A little late getting to that one because of ski trip hurray for snow! In Southern California? Yep, April snowstorm, wierd, untimely but just as snowy nonetheless!)
At the start of '98 many market pundits preached caution...the bull could not continue...too good to last. But it has.
Investors who pulled out of the market are kicking themselves.
Why do long term investors do so well?
compounding
lower risk (with Dell gets lower all the time)
always invested at the right time (and the "wrong time" too but the rights times more than make up for the wrong ones)

Personally I still try to time with a couple of companies, for the fun, risk and excitement. But Dell definitely buy and hold. IF we are wrong, we can have a crying party and console each other. But I think we will be right.
