Clark, terrific post. Long though I have tried to educate the heathen on this thread, they just won't listen when Surfer Mike pounds the WLL drum. I gotta tell you, digging trenches is a really crappy thing and if we can squirt our communications through the air, it's a very great option. Okay, so siting towers gets a little ticklish with the hug-a-tree crowd but they're getting more and more clever at hiding the damn things. We've got a local church that allowed their cross to function as a transmitter or base station or whatever the hell it is (for a nifty but reasonable rental fee) so now when all these cars zip past on the freeway, they're getting their messages from the church!!!!!!! (not trying to offend religous folks, particularly so close to Easter, just think it's a neat idea that works for everybody).
Last but not least, did you guys read Batwing's conference call as reported by the friendly media? Worse, did you read the tasseled loafer crowds' responses thereto? the pooch must be passed out with his doggie bones and a 6-pack of ripple. Check it out dudes, MOT is getting their butt handed to it by LU, NT, and, (regrettably) Ericy. Of course, the WSJ can't figure out that this is because of CDMA and the Q. "Failure to respond to conversion of cell phones from analog to digital", "inabilty to manufacture digital cell phones in volume required", holy dog biscuits, can you spell "dazed and confused"? These are direct quotes from Montgomery, Lehman, et. al. Law suit from MOT? Well last summer that was a concern. Now? See 'ya, gotta run. SM
