Greg,

You bring up good points in your last two posts. It hadn't occurred to me that most investors would not find out about Insider selling for a week or so after they were filed.

I believe Deswell will get a lot more attention in coming weeks. Namtai has more of a following than Deswell. The analysts visiting them April 21st will likely continue on to Deswell (same PR agent). This should give them better coverage. They've attained $100M market cap and that reaches a coverage level for some firms.

Zhu Rongi is soon coming to the US and in June, Clinton goes to China. There will be extensive media coverage focusing on Zhu Rongi, the social changes taking place in China, and the favorable business climate. Many investors fearful of China investment will be more inclined to invest there.

BTW - my opinion was that Kwanasia is not operating at full capacity because they need more supply from Jetcrown. The 20 new Toshiba machines for Jetcrown will increase their output. Kwanasia apparently will be at full capacity when the analysts get there because they have leased new facilities.

Another thing I recently thought of: about 44% of Jetcrown's costs are for resin. Where do they get the resin? Japan, North Korea, & Taiwan, all with declining currencies. Deswell appears to have signed $US contracts late in '97 for delivery in 1998, but based on 97 resin prices. Cheaper resin = lower costs = higher profits.

I bought more yesterday and now have more shares (same monies) than I had before. Looking forward to the next few months.

For what it's worth,
Ron
