beCareful w. EGrp...UNAUTHORIZED AND INACCURATE NEWS RELEASE POSTED ON MESSAGE BOARD HOSTED BY YAHOO. PALO ALTO, California, April 7, 1998 (11:00 p.m. EST)- - - ETRADE Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: EGRP) has discovered an unauthorized and false earnings release on a message board hosted by Yahoo. This unauthorized and false earnings release was placed on a sited hosted by Yahoo at approximately 5:10 p.m. EST on Tuesday, April 7, 1998 and removed by Yahoo officials at approximately 9:00 p.m. EST, the same day. The authorities, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the NASDAQ Stock Market "StockWatch" Division have been notified and appropriate actions are being taken with regard to identifying the person(s) responsible for the creation and posting of the unauthorized and false earnings release and prosecuting such person(s) to the full extent of the law. In fact, ETRADE announced its second quarter results at approximately 6:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, April 7, 1998. ot E- Trade.... Yes is could be possible day trader tomorrow..Its cheap enough to stab at .I wouldn't want to keep it long..it would just take more time to keep up with it. that was one mistake I made last year..Trying to hold 15-20 stocks for short term and work 12 hrs a day..I had no life at all. I promised my wife that this year that I would try to spend more time with her at nite..I have gotten a lot better and I've only go 5 stocks to keep up with and theres a little a room to add on.. I really think some buying opps make come around. I'm looking at Lu , Msft and a financial . I really like the Bmy stock I own . I have a good feeling about the meeting 4--9-98... Did you get any strange e-mail this week about Dell ?
