Al,

<<Are the Options in the 1989 and 1995 plans split adjusted? From the 1989 plan, there since has been 3 splits. A 2 for 3 (before the IPO) 2 for 1 (in 1997) and 3 for 2 (just in Feb '98). >>

All these numbers should have been restated for any splits, and I assume that they did this correctly. The options outstanding numbers from the proxy and the 10-K are quite consistent at around 5 million shares (a little more for the 10-K) post-split.

Al, I can't say that CTXS will tank in one day, but it could happen. Or it could fall slowly. Or maybe I am wrong and it will go up. No certainties in the investing business. It is the uncertainties and differences of opinion that create opportunity. But in my opinion, shorting a company with a PS of over 20 (no matter how you count the shares) and limited growth prospects (again my opinion) is not very risky. The long side is also taking risk here, perhaps more than I am.

But then again I think dell, amzn, yhoo, and aol are over priced too. So perhaps my opinion is not worth much.
