We are certainly in the right area (internet/computer field
where the stock appreciation is today.
Several years ago I was 'into' the visible stocks, like
a bank I used, a store I shopped at , or the gas or car I happened to use.
After getting on the thread, and thus seeing first hand
how the web is being used ( for communication, sales, education)
stock trades and banking) and just how much money is involved(
Gates) their is obviously no 'going back' to the old ways
handling bank accounts, mortgages, stock trades, irs forms,
by using a ledgers or paper and pencil.
If yr2000 is a problem anywhere it will have to be fixed,
period, so the on-line brokers can continue to make money
(hahahaha)
( Am counting on PVW to fix that(:O))
Globex is looking good this morning. I wish the mm's would be
more consistant where they put the money, one day its
internet, one days its airlines, one day its banks, etc.
Those people are no longer playing a buy-and-hold game,
its seems to be mostly momentum investing and buy-outs.
What ever happened to the good old days where one could make
8 or 9 % year after year by holding C/D's (thats before taxes)???
