DELL has enjoyed a good profit margin Q after Q and very soon will kick CPQ and IBM butts. CPQ and IBM will only go down with a looser. Dell will not waste his engineering resource to evaluate AMD chips, with that money he could hire more assemblers worker and ship more boxes.
AMD 3D hype, name one top Game vendor that will write to these instruction set. Most game vendors use their own 3D engines. Microsoft will put it in the Direct-3D for win98, it would be very interesting to see how it will play out. Do you know AMD MMXness is slower than Pentium. Anyway good luck to your holding.
