I remember a post on holidays. I don't recall exactly what it said.

I just passed along what Camp said about (only) Holy Thursday, and yes....what he said has happened over the past 7 years.

But neither piece of information, although interesting, has an effect on what my thoughts were concerning the Pre-Holiday trading as we came into the week. My thinking was that it would be a relatively thin week with people taking profits for various reasons.

-taxes
-the run-up over the recent weeks makes vacationing traders hedge by taking something off the table
-People are leary of the euphoria generated by the 9000 run....who knows, as usual the media could have shot itself in the foot. Prior examples of this include the crossing of DJIA 1000 and Gold approaching 1000

I had a couple of others, but these come to mind pre-eminently.
