I don't think so!!! Intel can lower prices and force market compliance since it dominates. AMD is sucking wind...big time. They will go out of business on a price based war.

Intel is still solid and has leadership on the technology and marketing.
Margin and yeild are both important.

Ed, your logic makes all the sense in the world. Especially a world that remains static. But the CPU market is far from static and it's dynamics have only put AMD behind the curve yet again. The performance bar has been raised (and prices always go lower with it) by INTC with the shipments of it's 450 PII chips. Being that the upper-end is now 450Mhz, expect chips with 2/3 the "MHz" performance level (which happens to be AMD's high end) to become the market "entry level" CPU for INTC.
