The Death of Louis Wu : Repost
or
Live and Die, Words on SI

Here is a repost to a short story about SI for anyone who may care to read it. It is in the form of five consecutive posts on the Golden Rule thread. It almost ended up being five consecutive posts but as you can see, 57 is missing. More on that later.

I always enjoy a superb reflection within one's hand. Your pen touches on reality which most can identify. Guilty as charged. Mental seduction is fraught within the perpetual boundaries of cyberworld. Alas sweet Carol, as lessons of life pass, the eyes of the beholder have become far more significant. If the foundation of reality is based on cyberworld ground there is nothing to support it outside the realm of cyberspace.

Which?

Hinduism, Jainism, or Buddhism,
Shinto, Taoism, or Confucianism,
Judaism, or Zoroastrianism,
Christianity, Islam, or Sikhism?

Jewish, Catholic, Mormon, or Lutheran,
Apostolic, Protestant, or Adventist,
Pentecostal, Methodist, or Baptist,
Jehovah's Witness, or Presbyterian?

Zeus, Jesus, Lord God, or Allah,
Brahma, True Name, or Ahurs Mazda,
Iahu, Izanagi, Man, or Buddha,
Eurynome, Marduk, or Jehovah?

Oh! How do you avoid a hellish haven,
to rest your soul in a place of heaven?

Silence

Silence.
A very powerful weapon.
Destroying all communication.
Leaving you wondering, unsure
of what to say.
Paired with an impassive face,
it veils all thoughts.
No amount of
threatening,
persuading,
or pleading
is quite as effective as
. . . silence . . .
