Thanks for the message.
I think that the only way that Ballard could go down to 65 or thereabouts would be if the entire market crapped out.
I understand your strategy. From what I've seen Ballard is a good trading stock as well and puts at 100 could very well pay out from day to day bought when the stock is high.
Even though the S&Ps are up at this point, I would expect that the market may still have some downward pressure left and only certain stocks may be worth putting while the best strategy may be to get some cheap calls. Only reason I'm posting this here is because to do so on the regular threads I frequent would be to invite a host of rabid fanatics who have been looking for tidal waves and buildings falling - though they have been looking for this for the last 3 months, regularly calling for it every Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon at 1-2 pm est. Seems to me that they need to visit the Flame Thread where they could take lessons in the 'Zen of Shorting' from the master Chu Mei Ash.
I appreciate the fact that your call on Ballard stands out for the reason that you make it without such underlying fanaticism as far as I'm aware of it.

I'd be curious to know how you got into Ballard and if you have any other stocks you've identified with the same prospects Ballard was showing in December 1996 when it first started getting a greater deal of publicity.
