It's not "offensive" anymore than telling me that a little green Leprechaun is going to lead you to a pot of gold if you faithfully follow his rituals. You jumped from a belief in the creation of the universe not being accidental to the belief that we have a purpose here to an omnipotent God to Jesus being that God. The first couple of points are what have been leading man to fabricate gods since he has had the imagination to do so; the last couple of points are just evidence that modern day pagans are as ignorant and asinine as cults which existed thousands, even tens of thousands of years ago. Clearly something created this universe and I believe it is man's challenge to discover what our creator has laid out before us. Those who still follow the ritualistic cults which have persisted for historical and political reasons don't offend me, they have my sympathy.
