You logic is sound based on conventional wisdom. However, the market doesn't always abide by such rules. Besides, LU, of all high-tech companies, has more than a few wild cards up its sleeves. While you may be privy to some of the unannounced events/developments, the general investing public certainly is not.

In a nutshell, I would refrain from calling LU's moves either way on a short term basis.

Earnings aren't that strong to support such a high P/E.

Keep in mind that they beat earnings last quarter by 13% and this isn't the first time they have bowled them over, nor the last. Not to say that this justifies a LUdicrous P/E ratio, but the market acts this way sometimes....
