I've been a member since before payment was required and no ads here. I tend to be oblivious to these things, but i don't remember there ever being any either.

Thank you all. I'm enjoying the AOL barbs ;-) Wonder if they are tracking my IP? Anyhow, I did subscribe before they decided to start charging fees. Maybe that is why they are targeting me! I shot off an e-mail to our famous webmistress about the ads. I'm sure eventually they will roll out full bore. I guess I'm one of the lucky beta testers... S.
