With the 89TSF/-8 have you noted that after an initial crossover a sustained rise might often fail short term. If so, a retracement to its support or slightly below; but after the second price trough occurs above 89TSF/-8 a trend seems to firmly take hold in the intermediate term (21-34 days) -- this observation going back over 2 years thru various primary-to-intermediate-to-primary trend changes.

It's seems nearly magical me even tho Richard won't admit to it or take any of the credit. Its pretty effective for calling short positions after the second price peak below the line. Actually, most everything related to the 13-34-89 series exhibit similar signal qualities. The 8 day horizontal shift really just helps align it moreso with the MACD(13,34,89).

Do you think there is a straightforward way to code for this after-pivot in a troughbars() function in MSWIN to test its validity?
