Thanks so much for the explanation of CHROME. I can see that I wasn't as well informed as I might have been. It is difficult to try and get the information when you are on the fringe! <vbg>

This may be an ignorant question, but how come multiprocessors aren't used more besides just as math coprocessors? Is this a bus problem or an integration/synch problem? In process control, (PLCs primarily) we used multiple processors regularly, especially where we had high response, high speed closed loop servo control schemes.
Just curious.
