Petz, AMD uses the negative note ( ) bracketed number within and expense field which is already negative thus a negative added into a negative results in a positive number. Without looking at the statement I think AMD soes this so they can include the Flash sales in with all sales and then adjusts the Income number to recognize their portion of net revenue from the JV otherwise they would wind up counting the revenue twice. Once as Sales then again as other net revenue from JV investment. We could backoff just a little and give paul a break here as he is Engineeer not Entrupeneure. Of finance guy! otherwise we will have to open Albert's school again and teach Account 404 Accounting for Joint Venture Partnerships and other off balance sheet investments within the going concern. A coarse I'm shure Paul and the rest of us would definatly want to cut... so we could sit in on Applied Phyics of Simicondutor Substrates.
