Janice, I don't know the Barthian interpretation. I go by the Holy Spirit interpretation myself, at least try very hard to. Christians call the bible the Word, the Word of God. Read the beginning of the gospel of John for more on that. The bible offers very few hints of what? When I read it, the old testament and the new I see Jesus Christ all through it.
