THere's a web site where I found a list--then I called or looked them up on the net.
thelist.internet.com

Try that--or just ask a teenager.

Alex,

Does this mean that you will be getting a 'puter at home? That's great! Then you won't have to ever again see somebody post to you from a prime post number (say, #9500, like this one) you think you should have had but didn't because you don't have a 'puter at home. Won't that be nice? Will your new 'puter be a Mac? Is that a dumb question?

With rerference to your question about a good ISP, I've used only one that I would NEVER use again or recommend or even refer to as an ISP. All things considered, it should be ashamed to call lt an ISP and I can think of absolutely nothing good to say about it. Other than that singularly awful ISP, my experience has been that one ISP will be about as bad as another.

Currently, I'm with one local and one national ISP. Both have their pluses and minuses, with the local having a distinct edge in service and reliability and the national being accessible via a tollfree number wherever one happens to be.
