Sumbria, there's nothing stopping Intel from selling a special version of the PII designed specifically as a Celery upgrade. If they add a 5/4 clock multiplier and some L2 you could get full 333 performance by swapping the module. Given that modules are fairly easy to handle, it would make a reasonable (and quite profitable) retail box product.

Perhaps Intel has figured if they can't make enough profit on each CPU, they'll sell everyone two CPUs over time.

Celery with peanut Butter would be coming at the time when mmx is going to be out yet it would not have 3d. AMD is also going to use Super 7. i am sorry but it is still going to be one step behind.

If they are going to add back the L2 cache why don't they just lower the price of the pentium II and save themselves the trouble?
