Doug, 3-6 weeks to hear back from the lab is fast, not long. Often a diamond and diamond indicator analysis can take from 3-6 months.

Let's review--
CG/MMU found pyroclastic ash on at least 3 separate targets, each with green material:
--
At least three targets over an area of about 15 km in length yielded multiple thick pyroclastic ash horizons, up to 2.5m thick, which exhibit varying degrees of alteration. In addition to the pyroclastic horizons, several partly consolidated green sand units were intersected at each of the three targets that yielded the thick pyroclastic. The green color of the sands is due, in part, to the presence of green clay minerals.*

*If the company did NOT send off samples from such encounters for diamond and diamond indicator analysis, I would not only question their competence, but outright consider them to be idiots (especially considering that diamonds have already been found in the area).

Fortunately, the field geologists in this case are adequately competent and educated! Oddly enough (he says facetiously), in a diamond exploration drill program, that's what is tested for in submitted samples! ;)
- Results to date are highly encouraging. More on that in another post.
- - - - - -
This program has been moving at lightning speed for diamond exploration-- proficiently, cost-effectively, and very positively! -Consider:
The successful drilling of six targets & 11 holes, in only about 2-3wks (with lots of clean core samples retrieved); -within something like 24-48hrs of preliminary drill results, a 7000km, 200m line spaced airborne hi-res magnetic survey was authorized, & commenced! Prompt response. The logged samples should now be at or on their way to the SRC. This rapid procedure should tell you something (about promise, and competence). -The new mags should be in for interpretation within days.

Once those mags are back, crews will again be mobilized, this time likely on the MMU/MIX and MMU properties. CG/MMU will re-commence in the field when the lab results are back, drilling as deemed appropriate. BTW, I asked around at the conference as to impressions of the 'SRC' as a lab, and the response was always with the highest regard.

This Chinchaga program has been very professional, very speedy, and very successful so far- - nothing less. This, in my experience and that reported from others in this biz, has been one of the fastest progressing diamond exploration programs witnessed.

I will supply more info and tidbits from the conference at a later time.

Looking forward, kids!

Regards,

ps- the pre-drilling work was/is expedient as well
pps- mmu is active in Arizona too
