NEW YORK, April 8 (Reuters) - Lucent Technologies LU said Wednesday it had been awarded seven contracts valued at over $60 million by Chunghwa Telecom, the largest telecom system operator in Taiwan. The contracts include the supply and installation of switching system, covering northern, southern and central Taiwan. Implementation is expected to be completed by early next year. Lucent Technologies, headquartered in Murray Hill, N.J., designs, builds and delivers public and private networks, communications systems and software, data networking systems, business telephone systems and microelectronic components.
