I agree PE's are not the way to value stocks like this. And I agree that this is a "new" medium. As I said, I view the "context sensitive ads when using the search engines. These are neat, IMO. I just think that it will be difficult to project growth. Mutliplying by 4 is like rolling dice. Revenues could be much higher or lower. I am not short. I gambled today on a near term miss -- just meeting estimates or slightly above -- and I lost. It was worth the potential on the downside to me to place the bet. I think these stocks will be repriced, but I don't know when. Good luck with your other picks. I think the prices on the internet stocks are indicative of a current stock mania.
