Mike: when a stock I own does not "behave" as I would like it to, and causes me the type of aggravation you seem to be enduring, I ask myself the following question: knowing everything I have learned about this company, would I be willing to buy shares at today's price?
If my answer is yes, I hold and remain patient; if my answer is no, I sell. The price at which I originally bought my holdings is not relevant to the decision.
As far as Blaine Waller's and his wife's (a Wood Gundy's insider, according to you?) role in the stock price, I don't understand what exactly you are insinuating, and what its purpose would be. It would not be the first time that a broker sells a position in a company for its own motives, and suggesting that the broker should refrain from doing so because a high level employee is related to the president of the company would be a conflict of interest detrimental to Wood Gundy's shareholders.
I would refrain from making insinuations about the reputations of individuals, unless I had strong evidence of improprieties.
Cheers.
