I do not post too often but am a lurker. I have posted before that I
have traded lgnd very successfully between 11/12 and 15. In fact my
long term hold on it has been made possible from the trades. I was in
again at 12 with a batch and am thinking about taking it out now. I have
another batch that I just hold for free. by the way, i am the worlds
worst trader but just look at lgnds chart.

Good post, every year I buy around here and sell at 15. I am one of
those people, I then use the profits to establish a long term position.
I bought again and will sell 80 % at 15 this year and the other 20%
I will keep. I have a nice position in lgnd now and it is free. It
should hit 15 sometime between now and april or may.

Anywhere down here is where you buy lgnd as a trading buy. It may go
to 10 but if history is any guide it will hit 15 or 16 twice in 1998.
For you long termers, buy another lot ( smaller ) and trade it. I
have one lot of lgnd ( long term ) that has been acquired almost free.
Just my opinion.

I post on this board every 6 months or so. I know nothing about the
biotech field but I do know that you can trade this stock. I have made
8 points on this stock this year. Considering that the stock is now
at 14, then I have made 55% or so. It does not move up quickly but
with patience, it can be traded, the spread is reasonable and you
just have to hang in there when it starts to sink. I personally love
the stock and am currently in it, I just bought during the last
down draft. This stock could do this forever. Good LUck to all, esp.
Henry.

<< hold two lots of this stock >>

That's good advice. The way biotechs have bounced up and down, there's been money to be made.

I've played a lot of different biotechs, and have been in and out quite often, on certain issues, including LGND. But, I'm usually totally "in" or "out".

As a result, I've been out during the time when the damn stock suddenly doubled in value! "Grrrrrr".

So, I might borrow your method of "two lots", from now on.

Regards, Bob
