Steak 'n Shake is alive and well here. A billboard on the bridge over Old Man River reminds me every day that there are 44 of them in the St. Louis area. Their TV commercials are pretty funny too. Their latest theme is when you go to S 'n S you're going to a restaurant, not a workaurant like those other fast food places. They still wait the tables, serve food on china and have great milkshakes. Not as good as the ones at Crown Candy Kitchen, though. I'm on my way there as soon as Lent is over.
