The CT Expo in Los Angeles has added three new dealers to carry the
company's Vortex multimedia system. Under the terms of the agreements,
ADCOM/BHS, Valley Communications and Medical Computer Systems will be
dealers for Xinex's Vortex system. Vortex is an innovative multimedia
office communications system that integrates the functions of sophisticated
telephony systems (PBXs) and Local Area Networks (LANs) while delivering
advanced voice, data and video applications over most types of
telephone-grade wiring to the desktop.
As previously mentioned, Xinex is launching its Vortex multimedia system at
the Computer Telephony Expo in Los Angeles today.
ADCOM/BHS, which is displaying at the CT Expo, was founded in 1985 and is a
distributor of telecommunications products for business to business
applications. Through its headquarters in Felton, California and, satellite
offices in San Diego and Boulder Creek, the company sells a complete line
of telecommunications products and accessories from leading manufacturers.
ADCOM's major customers include the state of California, the US government,
Pacific Bell as well as other Fortune 500 companies.
Xinex has also signed agreements with Valley Communications and Medical
Computer Systems. VCI, founded in 1983, has four locations throughout
California where it carries products by companies such as Cisco, 3Com,
Lucent and Bay Networks. VCI is currently ranked 24th out of 4,000
interconnect telephone companies.
Medical Computer Systems has been in operation since 1981, offering
complete systems including standard third-party and commercial software
applications, as well as customized software and hardware, fully integrated
into turnkey systems. Through offices in Washington, DC and New York City,
MCS performs services for high technology companies, government agencies,
hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and group practices and, has
development relationships with companies such as SONY Medical Systems,
Decton Dickinson and MCI.
The Vortex multimedia communications systems is an innovative replacement
product for a sophisticated telephone system and computer network. Using
technology that allows voice, video and data communication to be
transmitted over the same wire, Vortex provides an integrated telephone and
computer system that has built-in telephone, voice mail, and
videoconferencing capability. Vortex also functions seamlessly with a
Windows NT server to provide high speed data networking. With Vortex, users
can make and receive calls from Windows call manager applications, and
control telephone operations like hold, conference and transfer from their
PC.
