The two calls that were mentioned may be part of a hedge,
they could be open or covered--we just don't know.
You can't decide anything from looking at a few
trades. Although they are large from most individual
investors point of view, they are not large by institutional
standards.

Based on the information I read, this is a seasonal slow quarter for telco. LU has 1.3B common shares outstanding and expected earnings is $0.09. Nortel has 520M shares and the expected earnings is $0.25. So I don't think it is difficult to beat.
