Jfred,

The car's theft and recovery is a pretty neat story, but I'd almost have to post it in installments. I sold the car last year and wrote the story for other inquiring minds who asked about the car's history. Much to my surprise, the potential buyers all seemed fascinated by the thought of owning a car with such a colorful history and wanted all the details. Me? I'd be wary of buying a car with that kind of a history. The car was a 1967 Cougar XR-7, and the lucky winner, er, buyer is a collector in North Carolina who thinks he's died and gone to Cougar heaven. I'll be happy to post the story, but be forewarned, it's a long one. Heck, twist my arm, and I'll post the addendum to the story, entitled, "Never Trust a Fat Mechanic."
