The only negative I've heard about our friends the Bassett Hounds is taht they drool. I find Bassetts and Beagles amusing. The Beagles trumpet like they have just treed a fox whenever I come into view. Pulis sound like "cockapoos", the ragmop runts that like to sneak up on you and bite hell out of your ankles. I've been bit by a Scotty (ow!!!), a Chihuahua, a German Shepherd, an Irish Setter, a Chow, the Australian Shepherd, and probably others I've forgotten. I live for tetanus shots.
