<< I think it is usually the other way around.>>

I'm very ignorant in such matters, would you be able to enlighten
me on the above statement.

I took a position this AM @47 with Mr. Market's house money.
Paying a $10 commssion over the web makes what I would have not considered in the past a reality.

I like yesterdays positve action but ABDR still close a tad below the
50 day MA. This AM it Gapped up on the open so I got back in.
Hindsight being 20/20 I was concerned in mid march about the company's valuation and was anxious to protect some profits, the stock started dropping and I got out. I think I would have been better off holding.
Oh well it's a learning experience.

Fundamental ABDR's stated goal is to add 25 new members/Q. The past two Q's they've done that at a 50+ rate. Positive

They're also testing the same direct mail approach in other areas:
Business to business, fiancial services, telecommunications and some others. The company expects this new testing to contribute
negatively to operational income. IMHO when the process is complete
and they will sign on non-direct marketing clients and leverage
their previous expertise into enitre new markets. The time frame for that to happen is in 99.

If you got a chance to listen to the Q4 conf. call this was explained
in greater detail than I can provide.

On the Marco side you had two companies bidding over a competitor
Metromail. This may signal some continued consolidation in the sector.
Sheer speculation ABDR as a posible takeover may also be supporting the stock.

Good luck,

Denis

Chucky, FYI - ABDR set to release 4/22 after market. Conf. Call info

Last check the consensus EPS was 0.14

<<Is the recent decline in the stock correlated with options coming out?"
I think it is usually the other way around.>>

If you wouldn't mind explaining this, I'd be grateful. I'd don't
know much about this and would like to learn.

Cheers,

Denis

Abacus Direct Reports Record Revenues & Net Income for First Quarter

biz.yahoo.com

ESP 0f 0.17 vs the consensus 0.14. Another excellent Q.

Looks like ABDR will continue to retain its 99 EPS rank in IBD.
