800 Travel Board Confirms Commitment to Internet and '800' Customer Service TAMPA, Fla., April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- 800 Travel Systems, Inc. Just got off the phone from one of my former employees at a steel plant, I ask him what the price per ton for tire rims was going for and he said anywhere between $110-130. Used tire rims are melted down along with other scrap to produce all types of steel. What a business this is (GMTID) you pay them to take your used tires and I am sure it's more if the rim is still on it and then they sell the rim and the rubber. Norm
