Paul:

The new management has been in for about a month now. The significance of the release of numbers from hole #5 again are the following:

a. it was all done using - 200 mesh grinding preparation
b. it completed all of hole #5
c. it was done using a lead fire assay protocol
d. the large number from the last test was tossed
e. this testing protocol will be used at all other labs

A couple of additional notes concerning the testing are in order. All labs will be using a standardized flux that will be received from one chemical agency, instead of trying to make up their own fluxes. In addition to that, in order to get rid of the "nugget effect", samples will be increased from 100 grams (which is less than 1% of the total sample) to 1,000 grams.

Lead in a lead fire assay is not the best collector for platinum group metals. Blumberg of Ledoux developed a copper sulfide fire assay several years ago that is the best fire assay to read platinum group metals. At the moment, Naxos is concentrating on the gold, because it is easier and quicker.

Mr. John Norton is co-ordinating and expanding the lab network since his return from South Africa several weeks ago.

Kim W.
