The way I understand it, AMZN's advertisement charges are based on the number of pageviews. The real index is the ratio of sales to pageviews. If the ratio does not increase, they lose more money when the hits increases. How many hits of AMZN.COM came from the shorts, I wonder?

This is very possible. There may be a variety of reasons but this is as good as any.

The partial straddle is assuming the stock move no where. The prmium is very high. Interesting thought. I am going to look that the premiums and decide. Nice idea. I am looking at a long straddle not a short sraddle. Where you thinking a short straddle?
