Interestingly enough my copy of the Koran makes exactly the same claim. It does however make it in much stronger language than the Bible. Mormons who believe the New World Scriptures have received their Holy Word quite recently, but they have also been assured it is directly from God. In addition, it is clear that many literal Bible believers scoff at people who make claims that are discordant with what they see in the Bible, many should be aware of "The Lord said unto My Lord". Jesus himself said "Why do you call me good, only the Father is good." Belief systems are supported by the believers, not by the Bible.

Only in your reality Paul. You are afraid to research because you just know you are right. Real truth dares to be questioned so proof can be made. When you limit it to the bible You accept doctored religion. There is no Historical Christ. Isn't it strange to you there are such massive divergence in the cruel, jealous, vindictive God of the old testament and the God is Love in the new. A God playing favorites to a humanity which he conceived? Christ is the spirit of God and dwells in every man. Religion changed bible to historical fact. It may surprise you to read the Egyuptian book of the dead. You would find the truths in the mystical christ were changed by the Roman ruler because the Pharissees were revolting because of slavery. So they burned all known religious literature and destroyed the library of Alexander. Then outlawed all other religion. Killed any sect that taught otherwise. Strange to me you are so emphatic and you can't or any preacher can't give you an explanation of the bible conflicts. Also strange God inspired word has so many errors. If a woman read the old testament she would drop it like a hot potato. God OK'd favorite men with al types of permissable wrongs just fore them. The church as always tried to enslave women and today you don't see elder, deacons, popes, bishops, etc. that are female. Paul don't buy what I say. Study and learn for yourself.
