Yep...fiat confusion=ALWAYS good 4 Au. The confusing part 2 the Western mind is this:

Since Gold is denominated in US $
Since we live in a US$ denominated society...
OTHERS currency "confusions" don't seem to show up in gold HERE.

HOWEVER, this observation is ONLY an anomaly HERE........
...............b/c Au is denominated in US$.

When US's fiscal policy foolishness becomes totally and readily apparent to US $ DENOMINATED CITIZENS,
then and only then will WE witness what others have already experience in THEIR local fiat currencies!

Gold will not just "move higher"...it will soar! HERE!

You see, when Japanese Yen gets trashed relative to its worth in US$...then Japanese Yen Value of Gold soars.

Same gold appreciation pricing phenom has been witnessed in Thailand,
China,
Phillipines
Indonesia
and
anywhere else "local" currencies have gone to hell in a handbasket.

Hope this helps.
