It is true that the Zip drive can make a noise when a very small percentage fails . Would you rather it would fail without making a warning like my 2 gig WDC drive did ? Would it make any difference Jock ? The facts are that all mechanical devices are subject to failure from time to time . Some make noises some don't some just go quietly into oblivion . Herb
