OT, Humble Carl,

You have essentially a two stock portfolio consisting of
stocks within essentially a single subindustry of the
technology sector?

Carl, my man, you should change your name to BraveHeart.

You should be diversified like me. I hold Intel, Lam
Research, and Vishay Intertechnologies as about 90%
of my holdings.

See, much broader!

:)

J

(by the way, dont kid me too much on the LRCX. I still
cant figure out why I didnt buy the sector leader)

Carl: re: "I am a little more optimistic than most. By year end I hope for 140 for INTC and 60 for AMAT, which are roughly 2/3 and 1/3 of my portfolio, respectively. So with a lot of margin I dream of a 235% return for 1998. By humbly wishing for it it may happen, humble carl"

You will be much humbler if:

AMAT goes to a P/S of one, and INTC goes to a P/E of 10, and you have a margin call. I don't think it will happen either, but noone thought it would happen in 1996, and it did.
