Mr Donald Nicholson reports
Plans for the 1998 exploration program, as announced in Stockwatch, March 4 1998,
are complete and a notice of work and drilling has been filed. Drilling is scheduled to
begin in the first week of June.
The priority for the 1998 program will be the Creek zone. The goal is to replicate
values found in the discovery hole CZ97-08. This hole assayed an average of 0.156
oz/t Au over 283 ft and included a high grade (3.016 oz/t Au, 2.69 oz/t Ag, 1.34% Cu,
0.46% Pb, and 11.7% Zn) 13 ft wide zone. Geophysical and geochemical anomalies
indicate that the zone extends 2,310 ft long and could be much longer.
The joint venture will spend $1.5 million on the 1998 drill season, which will be
financed by Antares. On completion of the 1998 exploration program, Antares will
have earned a 55% interest in the property, AGC will own 45%. Antares is the
operator of the project.
