<<The whole idea of a sort squeeze is a bunch of hype. If someone was short in YHOO why cover it now? If anyone covered their short position with the stock at an all time high after opening up 10 points, they need their head examined......>>

The reason is simple: they get house calls from their brokers and get killed before they see victory

Are you nuts? When a stock hits a new high on heavy volume, it is going much higher. Any short that does not cover his position after such an upmove needs to have his head examined.

Sometimes you don't have a choice....margin calls dictate when most shorts cover....random thought: volume is at an alltime high today, in theory it is already high enough for every short position to have been covered.....now what will hold it up???.........;^)

Are you kidding? One poster covered after shorting in the 40's.. how much more pain do you want the shorters to take? When you have enough, you get out, period. Lots of shorters got out today, because they had to!
