I agree, Betty. The <$1K computers are what's going to bring technology to the masses and for the next two years that is what is going to fuel PC growth and the telecom/data networking boom.

Microstrategy Inc. files $36 mln IPO

WASHINGTON, April 10 (Reuters) - Microstrategy Inc. filed Friday an initial public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission for up to $36 million in class A common stock.

The Vienna, Va., software company said it will use net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including working capital, capital expenditures, repayment of debt and possible acquisitions or investments.

Underwriters Merrill Lynch & Co. and Hambrecht & Quist have an over-allotment option on an additional number of shares.

It applied to trade the shares on Nasdaq under the symbol ''MSTR.''

Microstrategy said upon completion of the offering its existing shareholders immediately prior to the April 10 date of the prospectus offering will own 100 percent of its outstanding class B common stock.

Each holder of class B common stock is currently a Microstrategy employee, the company said.
