Readware on the C*'s Cyberad press release

=====================

Subject: Cyberstar: DAMS and CyberAd

Cyberstar announced last night the fomation of CyberAd. C*Ad will provide digital asset management technologies for advertisers across the multimedia spectrum. By automating digital stream (e.g., TV commercials on DBS, media clips on Yahoo, sales pieces on Amazon.com), advertisers will be able to efficiently (downward multiples of cost) allocate ad resources. Advertisers will be able to instantly track and monitor all ads they execute on
DBS and broadband-- in much the same way Vons, e.g., tracks supermarket goods and JIT pricing for inventory management.

CyberAd eliminates massive paperwork and tape copying associated with DBS and broadband advertising schedules and commitments, giving all advertisers "real time, now" control over their ad streams. Back office systems can now be streamlined and costs savings realized as a result.

The advertsing industry is a trillion dollar/year revenue enterprise in the US alone. CyberAd plans on expanding past US borders once the system is fully implemented in September 1998.

C*Ad is the first satellite system to offer this service.

It was my understanding that the 2001s will come out around August or September, which is not that far off. I am willing to wait because the prices of the LEAPS, IMO, at this time are overpriced. I am holding my 30 Jan 2000s, up about 200% now, but I am not going to sell, I think that I will hold them for exercise instead. But it is tough seeing a 200% profit not being realized in the near future...

Options are a tough game, even when you win...
