Two words come to mind in that statement rather quickly are,
"confirmed" and "lockup." That seems pretty cut-and-dry to me.

I think it's fairly obvious that it is for real shorting. Since it's not legal to short bb's in the US I fell confident it's being done outside the country.

The purpose imho is that if the stock is forced down enough on reversal a ton of bucks will be made. I don't believe the options are even in play. The date structure would prevent the volume of selling.
I almost feel it's a revenge play and I hope it walks right up his ass.

I have been adding little chunks on dips cause I figure they'll be big chunks in the end.

Just my opinion.
