Tom, I don't think any of the posts I have read over here are really waging much of an assault against Christianity--at least certainly not to the extent that Jews and homosexuals and pagans and atheists and agnostics and free thinkers have been assaulted here recently. As someone who used to write over here--and incidentally this thread is not the exclusive property of Christians, since it is a public place, and was started as a joke, not a new church--I just became aware recently that there was what seemed like a lot of intolerance and bigotry being expressed over here that was hurting people at SI, and generally making the atmosphere unpleasant. I certainly don't think any of this has much to do with end times. But perhaps Shalom would disagree with that. To me it has more to do with a whole lot of people at SI trying to point out that while they respect your right to have Christianity as a belief system, somehow when it becomes Absolute Truth, flexibility and tolerance are lost, and real people start suffering harm, or experiencing discrimination, as the result.
