Ed, you and John have hit the key points. New theories and a certain amount of hypish enthusiasm has descended on the SVB threads. Some of it may be well meaning, some of it nefarious. It is hardly surprising as the season draws near. But it can cause the uninitiated to become enveloped in a bit of a smoke screen. There is a vast array of knowledge and a wide variance of qualification at play here in the SI classroom. The game is afoot and the trap doors are ready to consume the unwary. On a related note did you read about the Biochem-Pharma situation in Montreal? Sublime shorting practices: Two bombs placed outside of company buildings last Fall were part of a scheme to drive the stock price down. It didn't work because the stock was halted coincident with the bomb scares. Apparently arrests will be made shortly here in Montreal.
