Papaya,

<<<could the quick drop and bounce in ESV have been on of those grabs
for the "stop loss" shares?>>>

Surely you don't think the specialist would do that....gggg

Re: ESV Dip

Hi PK,

".....could the quick drop and bounce in ESV have been on of those grabs for the "stop loss" shares?"

ESV trades on NYSE; I know the thing you describe happens on the NASDAQ, but is it also a problem on NYSE?

Also, Similar thing happened to several other Drillers at the same time.

Personally, I'm inclined to believe it was because I had, just moments before, bought more ESV. <G>

best regards,

diana

HOLY BEJESUS! What a ride with ESV. That huge volume move on the uptick after those scumbags dropped it below support tells me one thing...manipulation plus. This is the kind of thing I have talked about before where those stop losses are being looked at by all the brokers and they take her down to cause the triggers to be pulled...then scoop up all those cheap shares.

Niffty chart PK. The low volume drop before the huge buy volume is also telling. Telling of what? Who knows (see above)? Anyway this is a classic example of why a trader with stop losses (set or mental) can get jerked out of winning positions...I am assuming a lot here about the winning part. Time will tell. But man, what fun.
